Czechoslovakia began issuing tax stamps for flour in 1934. The flour tax and its system of controls was discontinued in 1940. In the seven year span of its existance, 13 different varieties of Flour Tax stamps were issued. Most of these types have several varieties including color variations, versions in the Czech and Slovak languages, stamps for wheat, rye, or barley, etc. Each of those varieties then have versions for different weights and control letters. This makes for a very confusing landscape!

I hope this chart will help you understand these stamps a little better. Note that these types are based on the stamps' basic designs regardless of wording or color. For a typical example, the type I labeled "A005" can be found with blue or red triangles and the heading might say "Krmiva z pšenice", "Krmiva ze žita", or "Krmiva z raži". Still, the basic design of the stamp remains the same.
